Different Types of Slips
Different people have different things that cause them to slip. Here are some different causes to slips:
- Some of us tend to overeat where happy. We all encounter those celebrations with our families and friends when we splurge into everybody’s favorite foods, from appetizers to desserts, while being accustomed to “taking it easy” and “just have fun” during those events
- Some of us are more vulnerable to overeating when were bored. We have all encountered the situation where we’re home alone, watching our favorite TV shows and then suddenly feel the urge to linger into the kitchen.
- Some us overeat when were upset. There are times when we are feeling down on ourselves or just having a rough day. To fill our void, we tend to eat foods that comfort us and make us feel better, like ice cream or any other heavy foods.
- Some of us tend to feel the pressure of stress. Maybe you are behind on a project at work or have a lot of studying to do. Many of us get ourselves a cup of coffee and perhaps a delicious snack while we are at it.
Try to think about which “slips” most relate to you, either mentioned here or maybe something else. It is important to remember that slips do happen. But how you react to the slips will make all the difference.
