About Vida

What does the Vida Health Coaching app offer?

Vida pairs you 1:1 with a health coach. Your health coach will create a personalized plan that will help you achieve your health goals. Expect regular video/phone consultations and daily motivation through messaging, education, as well as the ability to track vitals such as exercise, diet, sleep, and weight - all through the app!

How much does it cost?

We offer three payment options at Vida. You can choose a monthly subscription option or select a three or twelve month pre paid package, which are offered at discounted rates. You can learn more at https://vida.com/deals

Vida for Employers

I've heard my employer is offering Vida. How do I sign up?

Look for an email from Vida with a special link to download the Vida app. Alternatively, you can email support@vida.com so that one of our team members can give you the special invite code that was created for your company.

About Health Coaching

What is a Health Coach?

Health Coaches are experts in behavior change who have backgrounds in health, nutrition, exercise, and motivational psychology. Health coaches partner with their clients to help them set and reach goals for satisfying and healthy lives. They support clients by connecting the client with internal motivators, identifying barriers to progress, holding clients accountable and assisting in the growth process of making changes to their lives. Health Coaches can support their clients to find a healthy balance in areas such as:
  • Weight loss
  • Stress management
  • Manage and/or prevent/reverse chronic conditions
  • Start/improve/expand exercise routine
  • Improve diet/nutrition
  • Establish balance
  • Improve communication skills/ strengthen relationships

Device and Syncing questions

How do I work with my coach? Do I need a smartphone?

You’ll work with your coach through the Vida mobile app. The app is currently available on Android and iPhone. The minimum Android version we support is 4.0.3. The minimum iPhone version we support is iOS 8.

I already track my steps or log food with another device or app. Can I add that to Vida?

You can! Connecting your fitness tracking apps and/or devices to the Vida platform is a great way to help yourself stay on track with personal goals as well as keep your coach updated on your activities. We support a number of integrations - the most requested are listed below:

iOS and Android:

  • Garmin
  • iHealth
  • Jawbone
  • Runkeeper
  • Strava
  • Withings
iOS Only: Apple Health, including Loseit, MyFitnessPal and more

How do I connect a 3rd party app or device to my Vida account?

For iPhone:
When you first register with Vida we'll show you an "Action" to Connect Devices & Apps. You can tap on the action and it will guide you to set up your device of choice. If you don't see that Action - or if you decide to add or change a connection after sign up - follow these steps.
  1. Make sure you already have set up your device or app before connecting them to Vida.
  2. Once you have the device or app set up and you can see your data syncing there, log into your Vida app
  3. Go to "Me" then tap "Settings" in the upper right
  4. Tap "Connect Devices & Apps"
  5. Select the device or app you want to connect on the next screen and follow the instructions.
  6. If you need to connect more apps or devices, go back to Settings and repeat the steps.

For Android:
When you first register with Vida we ask you if you're using any devices or apps - if you are we'll show you an "Action" to connect those Devices & Apps. You can tap on the action and it will guide you to set up your device of choice. If you don't see that Action - or if you decide to add or change a connection after sign up - follow these steps.
  1. Make sure you already have set up your device or app before connecting them to Vida.
  2. Once you have the device or app set up and you can see your data syncing there, log into your Vida app
  3. Go to the top left hand corner and press the drop down menu
  4. Select "Settings" and click on "Connect Devices & Apps"
  5. Select the device or app you want to connect on the next screen and follow the instructions.
  6. If you need to connect more apps or devices, go back to Settings and repeat the steps

It looks like my app or device isn’t syncing to Vida - can you help?

First, please ensure you have completed the steps above. If you have completed these steps and are still having problems with syncing, please email support@vida.com for additional help.

I want to cancel. How do I do that?

The best way to cancel is to manage your subscription via the app.
If you are an iPhone user:
  1. Select "Me" at the bottom right
  2. Select "Settings" at the top right
  3. Select "Payment" to change your subscription status

If you are an Android user:
  1. Select navigation menu at the top left
  2. Select "Settings"
  3. Select "Payment Settings" to change your subscription status
