What is Vida Health?

Vida is a digital platform that offers personalized health programs and live, one-on-one support from an expert coach or therapist — all through an easy-to-use mobile app and website.

When you sign up with Vida, you’ll share your health goals and preferences. What types of mental health programs does Vida Offer?

Our mental health programs at Vida are designed to cater to the unique needs of each member based on the severity of their symptoms. Whether you’re dealing with mild anxiety or moderate depression, our programs are tailored to help you achieve optimal mental wellness. We understand that everyone’s journey to mental health is different, so we offer a range of personalized programs to meet your specific needs.

Stress/Resilience Programs-

Our stress resilience and stress management programs equip you with tools and practices to meet and embrace the ups and downs that come your way. Our licensed therapists use proven cognitive behavioral therapy techniques to help you deal with life’s challenges.

Mental Health Coaching Program-

Vida’s Mental Health Coaching program helps members understand and maintain mild to moderate mental health issues. Health Coaches (trained in Motivational Interviewing) support members with evidence-based content that helps members cope with the struggles of everyday life and reach goals to promote holistic health and wellness. Coaches will draw on evidence-based strategies, activities, and exercises to help members explore ways to calm their minds and learn practical, real-life techniques to help shift and manage unpleasant and stressful feelings.

Coaching consult cadence is variable based on member needs:

2-4 consults at a weekly consult cadence
5-6 consults at a bi-weekly consult cadence
7-8 consults at a monthly consult cadence
Once 18 consultations have been completed, the frequency of consultations will transition to quarterly.

Therapy Program-

Vida’s Cognitive Behavioral Therapy program treats moderate to moderately severe mental health issues. Licensed therapists deliver structured CBT-based counseling for depression, anxiety, self-esteem issues, stress, adjustment disorder (e.g., difficulties adjusting to a medical diagnosis like diabetes), social anxiety, life transitions, grief and loss, divorce, parenting challenges, and more.

Consult cadence is structured based on an evidence-based standard of care:

Patients will attend 12 weekly sessions with their therapist as part of a structured CBT program, followed by unlimited monthly maintenance based on therapeutic appropriateness, If a member experiences an escalation of symptoms or crisis, their therapist can assist in scheduling more frequent sessions based on clinical need.

Can I choose my coach or therapist?

Absolutely. After you download the Vida Health app, you’ll be prompted to create an account and select your preferred program. Then we’ll ask you a few questions, including what kind of coaching style you’d like — for example a cheerleader type, drill sergeant, listener, or something else.

We’ll recommend some coaches/therapists that could be a good fit and then the choice is up to you.

Can I change coaches/therapists if it doesn’t work out with my first coach/therapist?

Absolutely. To request a change, go to the Home screen in your Vida app, tap the gear icon in the upper right, then tap Request New Coach. You’ll complete a brief survey so we can match you with a new coach that’s the best fit for your style and goals.
